Window Testing

Our Windows product has undergone a comprehensive testing process to ensure its quality, performance, and safety. The following standards were used to assess various aspects of the product:

Structural Performance and Air Leakage:

  • ASTM E330-02: Evaluates the structural integrity under wind loads.
  • ASTM E283-91: Measures air leakage rates to ensure energy efficiency.
  • ANSI/ASTM E330-90: Similar to ASTM E330-02, assesses structural performance.

Water Resistance:

  • ASTM E331: Tests the ability to resist water penetration under pressure.

Fire Resistance:

  • ASTM E84-91a: Measures surface flammability.

Material Properties:

  • ASTM D2240-91: Evaluates the hardness of rubber components.
  • CAN/CGSB-1.40-M97: Specifies requirements for anticorrosive primer for steel.
  • CAN/CGSB-11.3-M87: Covers hardboard material.
  • CAN/CGSB-19.13-M87: Specifies one-component, elastomeric sealing compound.
  • CGSB 19-GP-14M: Specifies one-component, butyl-polyisobutylene polymer base sealing compound.
  • CAN/CGSB-19.24-M90: Specifies multi-component, chemical-curing sealing compound.
  • CAN/CGSB-51.20-M87: Covers polystyrene thermal insulation.
  • CGSB 51-GP-21M: Covers urethane and isocyanurate thermal insulation.

Installation:

  • ASTM E2112-01: Provides guidelines for proper installation of windows and doors.

Additional Standards:

  • CSA-A440-M90: A Canadian standard likely related to specific requirements for windows in certain regions or applications.
